Under 13 blues

 Head Coach and Manager Chris Grass has a wealth of experience; having played for military teams throughout his career, including various civilian teams in the UK and abroad, he has turned his hand to coaching to ‘give back’ to the system that very much helped him grow as a player and person.

Chris has been successfully coaching since 2018 and is now ably supported by Stuart Napier and Martin McKim. 

Originally drawn and motivated to the sport by their children playing, they have grown the team with a dedicated group of players who are competing in Division 1 in the Suffolk Youth Football League (Saturdays) and Division A in the Colchester District Youth League (Sundays).

Having won the B Division (undefeated), League Cup finalists and Colchester Open Cup semi finalists, the conditions were set for a good 2024/2025 Pre-Season. This has seen the team enter four tournaments; in this the boys lifted trophies as 2 x Winners, 1 x Runners Up and a Third Place.

The team has a simple ethos; a committed and motivated team will accomplish and achieve more than any one individual! Its objective is to create an environment that promotes resilience, leadership, accountability, respect and patience.

Helping children to navigate the challenges in life by focusing on the five Ts:

Transparency, Tone, Teamwork, Trust, Tenacity.

The team comprises of all players who additionally play for Norwich Advanced Player Development Centre (PDC), Colchester United PDC, Ipswich PDC, SCS or FITC (JPL).
