Chris Grass has a wealth of experience; having played for military teams throughout his career, including various civilian teams in the UK and abroad, he has turned his hand to coaching to ‘give back’ to the system that very much helped him grow as a person.
Having gained his qualifications, Chris has been successfully coaching since 2018 and has been ably supported by Stuart Napier and Christian Adams.
Originally drawn and motivated to the sport by their children playing for the team, they have grown this family with a dedicated group of children able to play competitively against the strongest teams of the CYDL.
Recent Cup tournaments have seen them as Runners Ups - it's only a matter of time before they lift a trophy.
The team are proud to boast that the core of the group have been playing together since U8s, and have had a few additions this season to compliment and future proof the team progressing over the coming years.
The team has a simple ethos; a committed and motivated team will accomplish and achieve more than any one individual! Its objective is to create an environment that promotes resilience, leadership, accountability, respect and patience.
Helping children to navigate the challenges in life by focusing on the five Ts:
Transparency, Tone, Teamwork, Trust, Tenacity.
If your child has previous playing experience and wants to compete against the top teams, in and around Colchester, please request to contact the Manager, Chris Grass.
